How will you meet the challenge?

I’ve always been interested in opportunities that make me a little scared and a little excited. The Mindset Check worksheet is a fun way to explore your feelings about an upcoming challenge.

Ok, I’ll admit it up front: my design for the Mindset Check worksheet is unorthodox – but fun! It will definitely work better if you print it out. Basically, you record your challenge in the centre of the circle and then respond to the statements in the concentric circles. If the statements feel mostly true, you mark the small circle that follows.

Once you go through all the statements, you can tally up the marked circles on the left and right sides of the circle. If you have more circles on the left, the challenge scares you. More on the right, the challenge excites you.

Lastly, I love the question that Jane McGonigal poses in her book Superbetter: “What’s the best that could happen?” – so I threw that in too.
