One Degree Away
I’ve been struggling to get good feedback on a project, so I tried something different. Instead of asking people for their thoughts I asked them to connect me. I deployed the Friend-of-a-Friend (FOAF) strategy. I examined my network of contacts and asked them to put me in touch with someone in their world who could help - and they did!
Human-First Learning
I run my own facilitation business, but I’m a teacher at heart. I love designing learning experiences that surprise and delight all parties involved – the students and the instructor(s). Delivering those learning experiences is special too.
Hey, I Like You
We need to build our professional networks more like school kids expand their friendship circles. As grown-ups, we overcomplicate the whole networking experience.
Too Many Balls
When you run your own business everyone has advice for you. I hear things like: You need to focus. Find your lane and stay in it. You can’t make money pursuing all these projects. Ok, that last one was my own voice.
