Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you called Thirdway Think?

We were tired of the common binary approach to decision making. Everything always seems to come down to ‘Choice A’ or ‘Choice B’. This seems unnecessarily limiting. What about ‘Choice C’ or ‘Choice 4’ or ‘Choice Pancakes’? With a bit of creativity, you can always find another option – a third way if you will.

Do you respond to Requests for Proposal?

It depends. We will put together RFPs for projects that are in our wheelhouse. We are a small facilitation and training company in the Okanagan Valley (British Columbia, Canada), so we pick our spots. If you have a project that might suit us, we’d be happy to explore possibilities. Book a 30-min call and let’s chat.

Do you have a Code of Conduct?

We like to be playful around here, but psychological safety is something we take seriously. You can find our plain language Code of Conduct on our Code page. While you’re at it, check out our Commitments.

Why do all the site links start with ‘C’?

Well, it started as an amusing activity… then it became a challenge. We decided to stick with it because it still makes us smile.

What’s with all the photos of shoes?

Most company websites feature professional stock photos. You know the ones: people sitting at tables, working on laptops, sporting biz casual clothes, and smiling ear-to-ear like they have never had a bad day in their lives. We wanted to employ a theme that was a little more interesting. The footwear you need depends on the activity choose. To us, that metaphor works well for what we do. The solution you need depends heavily on the challenge at hand.

What technology do you use?

We are always experimenting with various software services to deliver our programs. Our tech stack includes standard video conferencing software (e.g., Zoom), list management software (e.g., HubSpot), learning management software, digital white board tools (e.g., Miro), and web platforms (e.g., Squarespace).

Do people really ask these questions?

We’ll never tell.
