Course Questions

  • Experiences will vary based on which course you take. Instead of cramming your course into one intensive workshop, we intentionally spread it out so that you learn in smaller chunks. We believe this approach gives you the time to try new things and reflect on your learning. It also gives you more time build deeper connections with your cohort. Refer to your outline for course-specific information and recommendations.

  • Unless otherwise noted, our courses are open to anyone. Management and leadership principles are transferrable to many different contexts. We take adventurers who work in for-profit corporate settings and those who work in for-impact organizations (e.g., libraries, museums, charities, etc.). Who knows who you might meet?

  • Some of our courses are online-only experiences (e.g., Whitewater). Other courses, are hybrid offerings which feature an in-person learning experience as part of the program (e.g., LLEAD). Refer to your course outline or the course page for more information.

  • As soon as you register you will be granted access to the first module which orients you to the course objectives and expectations. Note: some of our courses use a drip schedule to prevent people from jumping ahead and keep the cohort moving along at the same pace.

  • Some of our courses feature facilitated conversations with your cohort led by an experienced guide. These conversations happen at consistent times each week. The dates and times are scheduled before the course begins so there should be no surprises. We do not record these sessions, the point is to do the learning together in real time.

  • When a course sells out, you can still contact us to join a waiting list. If a spot becomes available before the course begins, we will reach out to the first name on the waiting list. Once the course begins, we close the waiting list – you can’t join mid-course.

  • Yes, that’s the whole point. You are only going to get better leading team conversations if you put these tools into practice. The worksheets, slide decks, and videos we create for our courses are licensed under the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. In other words, you can copy, use, redistribute, and even adapt our materials providing you attribute Thirdway Think, and release your adapted versions under the same licensing terms. For more information on permissive licensing check out Creative Commons.

  • Yes, you can download a fancy certificate of completion, but the true markers of success are the leadership practices you implement and the network of supportive colleagues you build along the way.

Our courses are intentionally designed for busy leaders.

Instead of giving you more content than you can digest, we spread the learning out in smaller chunks. No need to feel overwhelmed.

Check out the details for each course. If you like what you see, get yourself registered. If you have some questions, schedule a short discovery call, or send us an email. Don’t let busy-ness win again.

You’re too busy not to learn.

You have a busy schedule.

Getting through your daily to do list is challenging enough – never mind committing to professional development. We get it. Too much to do. Too little time.

Here’s the reality: If you don’t make room for yourself to grow, you will burn out. It’s really that simple.
